At Björkbacken we have designed a concept similar to that used by tourist hotels at ski resorts. “After ski” at ski resorts is intended to be a relaxing and enjoyable time after a day on the slopes. Our “After Astrid” concept is intended to be a fun and relaxing time for the whole family after a hectic day at Astrid Lindgren’s World.
Many parents greatly appreciate the fact that we have given a lot of thought to safety in our Water Park. “Parents know that they can relax somewhat if they have children that can swim. Parents of children that can’t swim must of course be more attentive, but can feel secure that their children are safe within the area” says Micael Glennfalk, the man behind the idea for the design of the pools and activities.
The Water Park is located next to Cajsa’s Café.
• The Water Park is open from the end of the school term until school starts again after the summer holidays, except if the weather is bad.
• If the spring is cold and windy we may open the Water Park somewhat later. You can always call +46 (0)492-79890 to check when the Water Park will be open if you see that the weather is bad.
• During the high season the Water Park is open seven days a week from 9 am to 9 pm. Opening hours at other times of the year are dependent on the weather conditions.
