All of our rooms are unique,

Named after various characters who lived around Astrid Lindgren as she grew up in this area. Many of these people inspired her and later became characters in her books, and you will find their stories in our rooms.

Karaktärshotellet has gradually developed into a sustainable business and conference hotel.

We make sure everything is arranged as you'd like, whether it concerns meetings, team building, training days, conferences, job interviews or kick offs. Our staff is always available with knowledge of the modern technology, hosting with warmth and care for the small details. 

During summertime all of Björkbackens area wakes up.

Our guests then have access to lush barbecue areas, a fresh and newly renovated service building, the largest play park in the area, and can buy entry to the water park and minigolf. Of course, there are several choices for the hungry - Cajsas Café with food, coffee and a small service shop, Lovisas Pizzeria, or our lovely restaurant that serves a lunch buffet on weekdays as well as à la carte and buffet for both adults and children in the evenings. Or why not stop by the hotel's lobby bar and enjoy the summer with something good to drink!
